About Human Error

By the “DiD Risk Monitor”, the emergency situation and the behaviors of the people coping with the situation are simulated.  In order to investigate a given manuals and procedures can be worked well in such a emergency situation, the behaviors of the human are played according to the manuals and procedures and are not made mistakes.

But, in the case that users of DiD Risk Monitor find some situations that a human error tends to occur and/or the human error may make huge effect of the result, the interaction simulation should be done based on the scenario data, which is taken account of the human errors.

In future works, DiD Risk Monitor will support to find which situation should be considered the human error and what kind of the human error may occur in the situation. We think the fundamental studies of Human error done by Rasmussen*1 and Reason*2 are very useful to realize the new function of the DiD Risk Monitor.
